RUSCON launched direct train service Chengdu-Kresty

development 1 June 2022
On May 29, 2022, RUSCON, a multimodal logistics operator (part of the Delo Group), successfully organized the first dispatch of a container train as part of a new regular container service between China and Russia. The train followed the route Chengdu Station (China) to Kresty Station (Moscow Region). The consignment of 50 forty-foot containers will arrive at its destination at the end of June.
RUSCON acted as an operator on the entire transportation route. It passes through the Zabaykalsk/Manchuria land border crossing, and the container trains will arrive at RUSCON's MANP terminal. The dispatches are scheduled at twice a month. In the future, considering high demand for this service, dispatches are expected to take place weekly.
Commenting on the event, Andrey Chernyshev, the Senior Vice President of RUSCON, said: “The new route expands opportunities for our customers to send direct import cargo from Sichuan - industrially developed Chinese province to the Moscow region.
In addition, the reception of these service at MANP terminal (a modern multifunctional complex with a customs clearance station) allows RUSCON to provide a full range of high-quality multimodal services.
We help our partners to not only quickly and safely deliver imported goods to Russia, but also to organize logistics support within the country. The list of services, as part of logistics support, includes customs clearance, indoor cargo storage and truck-delivery to the nearest regions. And the developed network of internal Russian train services provides for the fast and economical delivery to the most remote regions of Russia”.
