Ruscon started handling perishable cargo at the Novorossiysk grain terminal
business 27 January 2025Multimodal transportation operator Ruscon has been authorized to handle perishable cargo at Delo Group's grain terminal in Novorossiysk.
The first ferry with 29 refrigerated trailers arrived from Turkey in January. Following the receipt of permits from Rosselkhoznadzor, the cargo with fruits and vegetables could be transferred from the ferry to motor vehicles. This marked the first occasion of refrigerated trailers processing at the terminal.
The Group's grain terminal in Novorossiysk is consistently expanding the range of cargo handled, providing customers with more logistical opportunities while maintaining consistently high grain export volumes. Capacities allow to fulfill the necessary requirements for importing and handling various types of cargo, from motor vehicles to perishable products.
“Obtaining authorization for phytosanitary control and storage of fruits and vegetables at Delo Group's terminal in Novorossiysk opens up new opportunities to expand the range of services provided to customers,” said Sergey Berezkin, Ruscon's chief executive officer.
Ruscon will further develop its operational capabilities with a focus on safety and regulatory compliance. This will leverage additional cargo flows and contribute to the growth of handling volumes at the terminal.
