RUSCON freight forwarding volume in 2022 increased by 20%, up to 307 th. TEU
development 27 January 2023Multimodal transport operator RUSCON (a part of Delo Group) in 2022 increased the volume of forwarding by 20% compared with the previous year - up to 307.4 thousand TEU.
The volume of forwarding between China and Russia through the land border crossings and ports of the Far East reached 40.8 thousand TEU. It is almost 5 times higher than the previous year.
RUSCON's own marine services since the launch of this service in April 2022 transported more than 30 thousand TEU, and through the port of Novorossiysk sent 27.2 thousand TEU. It is about 5% of the total cargo turnover of the port. During the year a total of 68 import trains were sent from Novorossiysk to the Moscow direction.
Commenting on the results of the company, the head of RUSCON Sergey Berezkin said: "The growth of operating results for 2022 indicates the company's successful adaptation to the dynamic changes in the market, in particular the turn of logistics to the east and south. In cooperation with other assets of Delo Group, we continue to expand the geography of our services, including those in the Northwest and Far East, as well as work on the digitalization of processes.
Among RUSCON's key projects in 2022 are the opening of its own multimodal services in communication with China, Turkey, Israel, India and Egypt, and the launch of a train from Chengdu (China) to Kresty station in the Moscow Region. At the end of the year, together with DeloPorts (stevedoring asset of Delo Group) a regular car ferry service to Turkey was launched.
