Maersk takes slots on the MSC service to Novorossiysk

    Seago, the short sea subsidiary of Maersk, has temporarily suspended its Black Sea service from Port Said and Ashdod to Novorossiysk. Till start of the new reefer season the line will hire slots on the Alexandria/Ashdod to Novorossiysk service of MSC.

    Seago has explained stop of own loop with insufficient volume of reefer imports during the low season and growing bunker costs. The last sailing of Seago own feeder m/v Bernard A from Port Said to Novorossiysk was on June 10^th..

    From June 18^th till restart of reefer season, goods from Egypt and Israel will be delivered to Novorossiysk in two ways: from Port Said via Ambarli/Istanbul and directly from Alexandria and Ashdod.
