development 23 November 2020
The multimodal integrator of logistics services Ruscon Group, part of Russia's largest transportation and logistics holding, Delo Group, for the first time in its practice carried out a unique transportation of a heavy oversized specialized cargo - a nuclear reactor vessel for the Akkuyu NPP under construction (Turkey).
On September 25th the cargo weighing 350 tons was loaded onto a heavy wheeled conveyor and successfully delivered to a specialized berth of the Tsimlyansk reservoir, where it was loaded onto a river-sea class vessel and delivered to a port in Turkey.  After unloading from the vessel, the cargo was transported by specialized vehicles to the NPP construction site.
“ROSATOM has very stringent requirements for the transportation of such cargos. Therefore, our specialists carefully worked out the route, selected experienced partners and special equipment, and also received all the necessary permits," - said the President of the Ruscon Group Sergey Berezkin.
The successful implementation of this transportation is also important because the State Atomic Energy Corporation Rosatom owns 30% of the parent company of the Delo Group of Companies, Management Company Delo.  This event carries not only the commercial component but marks the partnership between Delo Group and Rosatom.
And for Ruscon Group, performing such transportation means gaining unique experience in organizing and carrying out such a complex logistics operation, which will allow further development of this service for a wide range of customers.
