Ruscon Group delivered cargo for Nuclear power plant in Bangladesh
development 18 June 2021In the first ten days of June 2021, the multimodal transport operator Ruscon, part of the Delo Group of Companies, while continuing to increase the volume of project logistics, successfully completed the delivery of large-sized equipment to Bangladesh for the Rooppur NPP under construction there by Rosatom State Corporation.
This logistics operation differed from similar ones by the presence of both oversized and a large amount of standard cargo, which required building several different delivery chains. From the port of St. Petersburg, the transportation of two oversized units weighing 463 and 113 tons, as well as 102 pieces of standard equipment was carried out by one ship to the port of Mongla. Further, to move to the NPP construction site, oversized items were reloaded onto river barges, and the rest of the cargo was loaded onto vehicles. The whole operation was carried out on time, the equipment arrived at its destination without delay and in perfect working order.
President of the Ruscon Group Sergey Berezkin commented on another successful example of cooperation with Rosatom State Corporation: “We are pleased to note that the geography of Ruscon's project logistics is expanding following the expansion of our partners' activities around the world. Today we have passed the test of a difficult route on a long shoulder to Southeast Asia, gaining invaluable experience in building different types of supply chains in one operation. We are grateful to Rosatom for the trust it has placed in us and we are pleased to invite other clients to take advantage of our developments in this area.”
