The regional director of Containerships Mr. Dmitriy Komov informed that call at the new terminal means access to more cargo and expansion of geographic coverage.

The maiden call at Ust-Luga delivered three flat-containers and seven 40’s.

So far Containerships have been calling in Russia at Mobi Dik terminal in Kronstadt only.  For a long time Containerships also was the single user of the terminal.

In winter 2011 it was joined in Mobi Dik by Maersk, Unifeeder and Hyundai Merchant Marine. Maersk and Unifeeder called at this terminal in the beginning of 2011 (due to sever congestion in the main port of Saint-Petersburg at that time).  HMM continued calls at Mobi Dik into 2012, having made it is main gateway terminal in St.Petersburg area. In 2011 Containerships accounted for 84% of Mobi Dik turnover, while the share of Maersk was 5,4%, Unifeeder - 2,6%, Hyundai Merchant Marine - 8%.

In 2012 the turnover Containerships in St.Petersburg big port went down by 17%.
